Cleaning Your Pool
Aug 10th, 2007 by admin
The best way to clean your pool is with the use of your pool vacuum system. This uses the suction created by the pump to clean your pool faster and easier than using a pool stick with a net.

Items you will need include:
Vacuum Head - Flexible Roller or a Brush Type.
Vacuum Handle - To connect to the Vacuum Head usually Telescopic with your pole.
Vacuum Hose - A flexible hose with cuffs on each end to connect to the Vacuum Head and the other end will connect inside your skimmer box.
Your Vacuum Hose must be long enough to go from the Skimmer Box to the furthest point of your pool.
I.E. (The hose would normally be 38mm for in ground pools and 32mm for above ground pools.)
Vacuum Plate - In the Skimmer Box or other connection in the pool.
————————->Further Directions<————————-
The Vacuum Head must be connected to the handle and the hose and then placed on the bottom of the pool and the hose filled with water before connecting to the Skimmer Box.
Place the open end of the hose over the return to pool fitting and use the returning water to force the air from the hose.
Now connect the hose to the Skimmer Box Vacuum Plate.
Move the Vacuum head across the pool floor removing all loose debri.
NOTE:
Avoid large objects such as leaves or other debris, use a Pool Stick and a Leaf Net to remove these!! It may be necessary to switch OFF the pump to be able to remove the Vacuum Hose and or plate from the Skimmer Box!!
ALSO:
Never take the Vacuum Head out of the the pool water before disconnecting the Vacuum Hose from the Skimmer Box or turning the Pool Pump OFF!!
